Jesse Carr

Veterinary Technician

I received my associates degree in veterinary technology in 2005, and became licensed in the state of Kentucky the following year. I have worked in several small animal clinics and shelters over the years. I joined the NRAH family in 2017 as one of their surgical technicians. This is my favorite aspect of veterinary medicine. In my time away from work I love going on trail rides, taking care of my dogs/cats/ horses and just being on the farm.

Addie Grindle

Veterinary Technician

Adelaide “Addie” Grindle is a Licensed Veterinary Technologist. She graduated from Morehead State University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Veterinary Technology. Addie is from Hendersonville, North Carolina but her love for horses kept her around Lexington after graduation. Addie has worked at the diagnostic laboratory for the University of Kentucky, small animal clinic, and an equine hospital before joining us. Addie loves all animals and treats them just like her own. Addie has two cats, Lynx and Avery.

Aviva Buckey

Client Service Rep. & Veterinary Assistant

Originally from California, I’ve spent a little over half my life in Kentucky. I’ve always had a huge passion for animals, from walking dogs with my sister when we were kids to working at dog daycare facilities for 5 years. I enjoy hiking, camping, and rollerblading in my free time!

Shianne Nickerson

Veterinary Assistant

I moved to Lexington, KY in June of 2020. I previously lived in Michigan in a little town at the tip of the Thumb. I have wanted to be in the veterinary field for as long as I can remember. When everyone said they wanted to be a princess or a firefighter my answer was always veterinarian. When I’m not tending to your animals, I am most likely cuddling with my two cats, Delilah and Ginger, or spending time with family and friends. I love hiking and messing around with my camera, but don’t get me wrong I love just relaxing on the couch and watching a good movie or reading a good book.

Devin Hartsell

Veterinary Assistant

My name is Devin and I live in Lexington with my husband Austin, our dog Nala, and 2 cats, Biscuit and Cornbread. I earned my bachelor’s in animal science in 2019 from UK and am working towards my veterinary technician license. I love being able to get to take care of all your furry and scaly critters!

Beth Holcomb

Veterinary Technician

I grew up in rural northwestern NJ. My love for horses led me to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Science. Shortly after graduating, my husband and I moved to Southern California where I transitioned into small animal medicine and became a Licensed Technician. In 2018 we moved to Kentucky after falling in love with its beauty and wonderful 4 seasons. In my spare time, I like to dabble in photography, collect Breyer horses, do agility with my dog, or just snuggle on the couch with my 3 cats.

Erin Richins

Veterinary Assistant & Client Service Receptionist

Hi, I’m Erin! I grew up in Joplin, Missouri, and love all things Midwest. I attended school at Brigham Young University Idaho and graduated with an Accounting degree and moved to Lexington soon after. I started fostering kittens and fell in love with caring for animals. I started working at the Nicholasville Road Animal Hospital in August 2024 and was trained as an assistant vet tech and receptionist. I foster failed my cat, Wampus, who is FIV +. I absolutely love working here and helping to care for all animals!
